Great at Detangling!

I have very thick, curly/wavy, tangly hair that I could only detangle while sopping wet with conditioner. With this comb, I am able to get through it wet or dry, with no snagging! I love it!

This wide comb detangles my hair easily. I have curly hair which tangles a lot, especially after it dries from washing. I have noticed a considerable difference in the amount of hair in the comb which is one to three strands. Before I had this comb, my hair used to come out in bunches on my other wide comb.

There was less pulling and the comb made my hair smooth. I lost less strands as there was no seams to break them off. Also, there was less time spent on styling my hair as the comb just went right through.

When I got my order I had had my hair in a protective style for about two weeks. Usually detangling after taking out my protectvie style is horrible, but I was able to detangle my whole head in a half hour. I wish I had this comb when I was younger, but better late than sorry.

I am loving my mini star rake comb! I have been natural for four years, and my old combs had seams and were pulling and snapping the ends of my hair off. With the mini star rake comb, I don't have that issue anymore!

I just wanted to drop a line and tell you how pleased I am with your rake combs that I recently purchased. For my fine, thin, straight hair and my daughter's kinky, tangly hair, it is by far the best comb we've used. My shedding has cut back drastically in a short time and my scalp isn't dry and itchy anymore. This comb glides through my daughter's tangly hair like magic. I've been telling my friends about these rake combs. (The mini is my favorite but they are both superior to all other rakes and detanglers I've spent my hard earned money on.) I'm relaxed and I had stopped using a comb because I was losing too much hair. When I got my comb I immediately combed my hair. Once all the shed hair came out, there was no more hair on the comb. I kept combing and combing and still no hair. Now I still don't comb my hair in the shower, but I comb it once and I get out and I lose maybe 2 or 3 strands of hair. It amazes me! I really didn't think it could make such a big difference, but it really does. I will never use a regular comb again. And I keep my combs in my purse so that none of my sisters will "borrow" them like they do my other things. Yes, these combs are that serious. LOL

The point of the spikes feels quite sharp against my scalp, but the comb is good. I have fine hair and I could probably skip using this comb, but it is good for the initial detangling instead of using fingers. I also bought HS1975 Styling Comb and Magic mini Star.

finally! the comb i have been looking for is here. combs out hair with very little breakage and no snags. i ordered like 5 of these (gave 3 away as gifts). i had second thoughts when it came down to the price (kinda pricey) but once i used it, it is worth every penny!

I bought one several months ago. I had never seen a comb like it before and was concerned that it would be too small and wouldn't do what I needed. But I gave it a try, and was so happy with it, I bought 2 more recently -- one for travel and one for my everyday purse. I don't want to be without it.
Works great for dry detangling my (kinky and fine textured) hair in sections with oil. Also great for wet detangling with conditioner. I have no breakage with this comb.
The shipping was super fast and the customer service was EXCELLENT! I had questions about another comb I wanted and I received a very prompt, accurate and helpful reply.

PROS: Firm but flexible; super durable (I drop it in the sink ALL the time); so easy on the hands; massages, doesn't scratch the scalp; parts coils, curls, kinks like the red sea; moves through super thick hair effortlessly; nary a snag. Great customer service, perfect size for my hands and mid-length thick coils.

I'm a 4A/4B Natural and when I first saw the comb I thought what the heck its seamless,but once I used it my jaw DROPPED! I was able to RUN this comb thru my hair DRY!!! (Only to see how it really feels) I also was wary about the sharp angle edges...it felt Sooo good on my scalp. NOT SHARP AT All. If your like me and only want the best of everything for your hair your looking at the right comb collection.

This is a great comb for ouchless detangling. It doesn't leave your hair fluffy or static charged either. I have thick, wavy, mid-back length hair, until now I've always used a Mason and Pearson - but this comb kicks it. I'll be getting another!

This may be called the Magic mini Star Rake, and yes the size may fool you, however, this Little STAR is simply amazing!!!!
I have natural curly long hair with at least 4 different textures, and sometimes she is just difficult. I ordered this little star the same time I ordered the BIG STAR, after misplacing the BIG Star I grab my little star and thought hmmm I hope this work, well to my surprise she in many ways out performed the master, great for your bag and your hands, she is just wonderful. In addition, I was pleasantly surprised how this comb glides through my hair without ripping or tearing my curls.
Thank you hotcombs for providing superior products and top notch customer service. I truly enjoy each and every one of my combs, brushes, scarves, and satin sleepcaps from hotcombs.

Bought the set of rakes and have used this one daily. It really makes detangling a breeze- and for my natural afro hair, that is the last word I would use for my detangling sessions :)
THANK YOU THANK YOU! When they are back in stock, definitely get this comb for natural, afro texture hair, or even thick, coarse, curly, wiry hair that is natural or transitioning to natural. I like this smaller one - a little easier on the wrist, but I bought the set and plan to leave this small one in my purse.

I was a little skeptical to pay so much for a comb, but after watching a youtube video of a young women who transisitioned from relaxed hair to her natural hair rave about the comb I decided to give it a try. First, may I say that the customer service at hotcombs is excellent and I received my order promptly. (Ordered on Friday and received my package on Monday.) If you are looking for a good multi-purpose comb that you can take from the shower and use as a styling comb without worrying about pulling out your hair and it's small enough to fit in your purse comfortably this is the one. You won't be disappointed. I think I am going to order the jumbo rake next I love this so much. I just don't need the full-size right now because I just did a big chop on my hair but in a couple months I'm sure I'll order the full-size. If you have a lot of hair, you will probably want to spend the extra money on the jumbo rake or order both and use this one to keep in your purse.

I purchased the Magic Mini Rake, and fell in love with it! I’m of mixed race and my hair is very unmanageable. This is the only comb that actually works for my hair. No pulling, no tangling, no snags!! I’ve saved myself hundreds of dollars a year since using this product.
