Its not your standard size its travel size..good product however it would be much better if it were made with the same materials and techniques as the MAGIC line. The MAGIC line is smoother and glides through my hair effortlessly!!!! this comb feels a bit stiff and the teeth feel SHARP against my scalp whereas The MAGIC line feels completely smooth.
hotCombs Response (02/02/15): Thank you for your review and stating your concern. The HS703WW is made from the exact same material and manufacturing process as the Magic Star line. Hercules Sagemann’s intensive manufacturing process includes well over one hundred steps, diamond cutters, hand sawn and polishing techniques to create these combs.
We are unable to give a complete comparison of which comb you may have from the Magic Star line. However, please know that all of the combs were designed for different purposes. The HS703WW, can be viewed as a travel size comb. On the other hand, users with petite hands can use the HS703WW as an everyday styling comb.
The teeth of the HS703WW have a square shape near the spine and transitions to a point. The overall shape and point of the teeth are suitable for daily use and detangling purposes. The issue may arise with how the end user angles the comb. Many people may choose to use the comb with the teeth directly on the scalp. Whereas a downward angle is a more accurate angle to hold the comb. Many other factors are considered such as a person's hair texture (curly or straight), will give some indication of how to correctly angle a comb.

It's not clear from the photograph but this comb has teeth with sharp square edges. The edges of the teeth are not rounded like the Magic Star Rake Jumbo and Mini. Whenever I use this comb, my hair gets caught around these sharp edges and snaps. This comb would have been excellent if the teeth had a round shape. Since I can't return the comb, I'm going to try rounding the edges of the teeth with sandpaper. For reference, I have APL to WL 4b hair.

This comb is just what it says it is a styler. It stylers your hair straight.

I love this comb!! It's small but it works perfectly for my hair texture. I have waist long hair thats fine but a lot of it. This comb might be small in size but the teeth are wide enough to get through my hair and not pull out any of it. Its pretty unique, the teeth are unlike any I seen before, the shape of the teeth are different from any comb you'll see. The teeth are a perfect width,.not too wide or too fine. highly recommend this comb and hotcombs in general, I have most of their combs and they all work great, no seams, super gentle, no dissapointments.

This comb is small..But I looove it..It detangles so well I'm my daughters ear length coarse hair ..My son has shoulder length hair and always cried when I comb through his hair..Not with this comb..I waz finally able to comb through his very thick, but soft texture curly hair with ease. ..I bought this comb along with the 696W. .I plan on purchasing more combs. If you have really thick long hair and an adult, then this comb may be a bit small for A lot of hair..But if your have average hair strands..Or for a child's hair. THIS combd perfect. .I just think someone with waist length hair should get a bigger comb..its fine ffor my hair and I have coarse kinky hair...Great comb..love it..perfect for a soft detangle even though it not an xtra wide tooth comb, they teeth are wide.

I love this comb as a travel/purse comb. The teeth of the comb are unlike any on the market today. I love the uniqueness and the functionality of it. I hope that they decide to make a 9" version of this comb! I'm sure it would be a top seller!

I bought this a long time ago but haven't used it until today because I was settled with my hair routine and because to be honest when it arrived it was the most adorable comb I've ever seen (looks so nice and sturdy, all one solid piece, no separations anywhere) but smaller than I thought it would be judging by the picture, and I didn't take it seriously. Today I used it though, and it performed better than I expected it to. It does look like a toy comb, as another reviewer mentioned, but works as well as any other 'real' one.
Not sure why it's described as medium tooth, because it looks wide toothed, except for space at the base between teeth is more narrow than on top (as opposed to #1975 and most other wide ones, where space is the same at the base as on top). So I consider it something in between wide and medium tooth. It's pretty unique, love it.
